What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) via a website. They store information about your visit, such as preferences and session data, so that the website functions correctly and your experience can be improved.

Alvoru also uses similar techniques such as local storage and session storage. Wherever this statement refers to "cookies", these techniques are also meant.

Legal basis

Alvoru places cookies on the basis of Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act and Article 6 of the GDPR. For non-functional cookies we ask for your consent in advance via the cookie banner. No consent is required for strictly necessary (functional) cookies.

Honest status (May 2026): We currently use no analytical or marketing cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar and no comparable tracker running on alvoru.com. Only essential cookies for session, login and security are placed. The cookie banner is operational so that, if we ever want to use analytics in the future, we first ask for your explicit opt-in.

Alvoru places no tracking or advertising cookies from third parties. Social media plug-ins are loaded only after explicit interaction.

How do you manage your cookie preferences?

Via the cookie banner that appears on your first visit.
Via your browser settings (see your browser's help function) you can block, delete or manage cookies per site.
You can withdraw or change your previously given consent at any time via Change cookie preferences. The cookie banner will then reappear so you can make a new choice.

Chatbot widget cookies

If you use the Alvoru AI Chatbot on an external website (a website belonging to one of our customers), this chatbot widget may place its own cookies for session identification. These cookies are technically necessary for the correct operation of the chatbot session and require no consent under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act. The chatbot widget places no tracking or profiling cookies.
